Jim Salsbury, Ph.D., is the Senior Vice President of Services and Quality at Mitutoyo America Corporation and has been with the company since 2000.
Dr. Salsbury is responsible for all services offered by Mitutoyo America Corporation including the ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibration and inspection services available across the United States.
Dr. Salsbury is a leader in national and international standards development in dimensional metrology. He is an active participant in the work of ASME B89 and ISO/TC 213, and he also serves NCSL International as the chair of the Dimensional Metrology Committee. Dr. Salsbury has a passion for metrology education, and he has numerous publications and is a frequent speaker at conferences.
Dr. Salsbury received his doctoral degree in mechanical engineering from the Center for Precision Metrology at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He enjoys traveling with his family and being outdoors hiking and cycling.
