Overview:

Good decisions depend on good data. When your technicians and tools are not performing well, the quality of data drops quickly. This one-day course introduces the fundamentals of Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) with a focus on Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility (Gage R&R). Designed for technicians, quality professionals, engineers, and others responsible for measurement quality, this course combines hands-on demonstrations with practical data analysis to help you evaluate and improve your measurement systems.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Core MSA Concepts: Understand sources of variation—repeatability, reproducibility, bias, linearity, and stability.

  • Gage R&R Fundamentals: Learn how to conduct and interpret studies using micrometers and simple spreadsheet-based examples.

  • Transition to Purpose-Built Software: Apply concepts in Mitutoyo’s MeasurLink® software for real-world case studies.

Why Take This Course?

  • Gain confidence in evaluating measurement systems.

  • Reduce risk of costly errors caused by invalid data.

  • Prepare for compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and industry standards.

  • Learn from Mitutoyo experts with decades of precision measurement experience.

Prerequisites:

No prior MSA or GR&R experience required.
