Course Materials:
In this eLearning Course, users will be introduced to Mitutoyo’s QM-Height Gage. Users begin with learning about basic measuring procedures on the gage before expanding to complex part programs, tolerancing, and tying it together with output methods for your in-house measurement operations. New users will experience a detailed walkthrough with the gage, while experienced users can brush up on the QM-Height capabilities.
The following topics are covered in this course:
1) Startup and Compensation
End-users will learn basic operations of the QM Height Gage, learning simple operations such as powering on and powering off the gage. This section will also detail the importance of compensating your probe for your gage, while also taking accurate measurements.
2) Operating Controller Interface / Settings
This section details the controller interface of the QM Height Gage. Each button is covered thoroughly, from taking an ID or OD measurement, to learning how to build a part program or measuring procedure within your gage. You will also learn about all the different parameters and settings you can enable/disable on the gage, making measuring as simple as a pass/fail, or more complicated with data output collection for your own measurement inspections.
3) Basic Operation and Measurement Overview
Learn how to safely and properly operate the gage, as well as learning how to take advanced measurements. From Calculating distances between two measurements, to continuously measuring from one point to multiple points, even calculating differences between two values stored in the gage memory.
4) Data Output
Learn how to set-up your gage for proper data output – whether it’s to a Digimatic Printer, or an SPC Out to MeasurLink or your own data managements software.
A certificate of completion will be awarded to the end-user for completing the course.
