Overview:

Digital calipers and outside micrometers are the foundation of quality in manufacturing within the United States and beyond.  These precision measurement tools develop wear patterns and damage through rigorous daily use.  This course, EDU-200, is a one-day hands-on introductory course to teach participants how to perform regular maintenance, basic repair, and calibration of these foundational tools to keep them operating at optimal levels on the production line.  This course is meant to introduce the skills more thoroughly developed and taught in Mitutoyo America’s popular calibration and repair courses such as EDU-114 and EDU-302.

Prerequisites:

While this course does not have a mandatory prerequisite skill or knowledge level, it is encouraged to have prior experience with digital micrometers and calipers as this course goes beyond the basics of tool use.  Participants are encouraged to complete online EDU-A110 Introduction to Dimensional Metrology and EDU-A120 Units – The Language of Measurement classes.  Both courses are included in the cost of EDU-200.

Certificate:

Participants will earn an Attendance Certificate from Mitutoyo America Corporation. This course will provide foundational learning the participants can apply when completing future calibration courses and official credential exams.
