Digital versions of the tool are available for visual reference, but it is recommended to have the tool or gage available during the course.

In this eLearning Course, Mitutoyo end users will be introduced to the KA-Counter, one of Mitutoyo’s proprietary digital readout systems. Users will learn about the basic functionality of the DRO, condition and parameter setup, as well as installation procedures. Users will be introduced to executing simple measurement procedures, maintenance recommendations, and troubleshooting tips to ensure your measurement operation continues to run smoothly.
The following topics are covered in this course:
1) Unit Overview
Meet the KA-Counter! Users will get a detailed walkthrough on the front and rear interfaces, learning about the different buttons and their functions. Users will be exposed to the different communication methods on your DRO, along with how to output to each source.
2) Measurement Setup
Users will be introduced to installing the Digital Readout on your measuring machine, safe power operations, as well as proper zeroing of your scales and parameter settings. Learn the differences between the individual parameters, group parameters, and special parameters and how they can affect your measurements.
3) General Maintenance
To extend the life of your DRO, ensure you are practicing routine maintenance on your equipment. Learn how the routine cleaning can improve the gage, while understanding the different errors that can populate during your measurements. Experienced users will also have the opportunity to learn how to troubleshoot many of the errors.
A certificate of completion will be awarded to the end-user following the conclusion of the course.
