Mitutoyo America Corporation is pleased to announce the release of the FORMTRACER Avant Series Contour and Surface Roughness measuring system to our product line.
The FORMTRACER Avant is Mitutoyo’s next generation Formtracer measuring system that measures advanced contour and surface roughness features with high precision, speed, flexibility and efficiency in one machine. The new FORMTRACER Avant enables conversion between contour and surface roughness measurements in seconds without closing down the software or switching off the controller.
Key features of the FORMTRACER Avant include:
- NEW quick sensor exchange without turning off machine
- NEW enhanced stylus protection function
- Increased drive speed on X and Z axes
- NEW faster retraction of the stylus after measurement (58% improvement)
- Increase in the amount of retrofit selections of optional surface/contour detectors
- Easier part programming with the addition of new operation keys added to remote joystick box
